Jim Caddell

James Richard "Jim" Caddell, fondly known as "Jimmy," was a dominant force in Millis High School athletics during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Standing 6'0" and weighing 195 pounds, Caddell was an exceptional tailback whose combination of speed, power, and vision made him virtually unstoppable on the football field.

During his senior season in 1980, Caddell led the Mohawks to an undefeated 11-0 record and the Super Bowl championship. His performance that year was nothing short of legendary, earning him the Division 4 Player of the Year award and cementing his status as one of the greatest athletes in school history.

A three-time Tri-Valley League all-star, Caddell's career numbers tell the story of dominance: 47 touchdowns, 3,154 rushing yards, and 286 career points. These records stood as a testament to his extraordinary abilities and work ethic.

Beyond football, Caddell was also a standout on the track team. He still holds the school record in the 100-meter dash at 10.0 seconds, demonstrating the explosive speed that made him such a dangerous runner on the gridiron.

Caddell's athletic talents earned him a scholarship to the University of Tennessee, where he continued his football career at the collegiate level. After his playing days, he built a successful career and remained connected to the Millis community.

In 2018, Jim Caddell was inducted into the inaugural class of the Millis High School Athletics Hall of Fame, a fitting honor for one of the school's greatest athletes. At the ceremony, former coaches, teammates, and friends gathered to celebrate his remarkable achievements and lasting impact on Mohawk athletics.
